About

“My passion is creating spaces that provide the ultimate in enjoyment and comfort while ensuring a functional and aesthetic balance in my design.”
– Natalie Spiniolas

Ever since I could walk, I’ve loved to create, collect, organize, design. My destiny to become an interior designer was at work from a young age, inspiring me to one day start my own business – Tailored Spaces. From my time as a budding designer in my aunt’s drapery workroom to landing a career specializing in cabinetry design, I’ve always had an eye for detail. My passion is creating spaces that provide the ultimate in enjoyment and comfort while ensuring a functional and aesthetic balance in my design.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in interior design from the Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg and 18 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry. I think of my clients as friends. Taking the time to get to know you and understand your unique vision for the space we design together is step number one. From there, I can guide you to the perfect design solution. It’s not in my nature to shy away from new experiences. Rather, I like to embrace life head-on. I believe it makes me well rounded, giving me the ability to connect with many different types of people.

Mine is the classic story of city girl meets farm boy. My husband sees beauty in semi- trucks and cattle; I see it in residential homes. It’s interesting to discuss how it all overlaps. We have three children and live on a working farm full of dairy cows and chickens. I love our country life where every day is a new adventure. I also love to travel. My excursions have taken me to over 30 countries and on an overseas backpacking trip of a lifetime. Seeing the world helped me to appreciate design in all things.

I have a love for visual texture and mixing materials. I also value organization in all things and seeking out one-of-a-kind pieces to add true character to a space. Designing a space that is a true reflection of my client’s style and taste is always the goal. Tailored Spaces LLC is a vision of retail and design studio in one. I think all of those years of dreaded antique shopping with my parents spoke to my subconscious, as “junkin” is now one of my most loved weekend activities.

That passion is the inspiration for Tailored Spaces Market – my retail storefront housed in the historic Starline Factories Excursion Market in Harvard, Illinois. It’s full of all things loved by Tailored Spaces.

Design is in my blood and sharing my passion with others gives me great joy. Each day is a blessing and I thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I’d love to get to know you, too. I would be honored to become your designer and help bring your design dreams to life. Let’s get started today!

Our Team

Our team works in tandem on every project to ensure our clients get the attention they deserve. We partner with each client and act as their guide to completing their desired remodel or new-build project. We are adamant about staying on top of industry trends and are always up to date with leading vendor products. We do everything we can to guarantee that each project is paired with the proper materials and budget. Our clients can feel comfortable and confident knowing that their project is in the best hands.

Stephanie

Stephanie is our senior designer. With over eight years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, she brings all the details together with ease to every project. Her customer service and procurement organization are unmatched. This ensures our clients get not only a beautiful result but also an enjoyable and smooth process along the way. Stephanie enjoys specifying all the little details that set Tailored Spaces apart. She has a keen eye for color and is wonderful at pairing products together.

While out of the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and doing home renovation projects of her own! She carries her love for organization into her daily life and embraces the minimalist lifestyle. She loves to escape with her family to Door County a few times a year to enjoy each breathtaking season the county has to offer. Her love for design and functional spaces led her to kitchen & bath design, ultimately bringing Natalie and Stephanie together for a perfect partnership.

Pam

After completing degrees in Interior Design and Architecture, Pam discovered that kitchen and bath design was a perfect fit for her interests and skill set. Over the years she gained experience in design, purchasing, and customer service, all skills she finds useful in her position as Production Manager for Tailored Spaces. She loves to travel and camp in her free time, but her favorite pastime is reading; you can find her lost in a good book whenever she has the chance! This passion for books led to her alternate “bookworm” career working first for a library and then as a used bookstore manager.
