Reeded vs. fluted. vs. slatted panels.  They all feature evenly spaced parallel grooves.  So what’s the difference, you ask? Reeded panels feature rounded ridges that are convex.  Fluted panels have concave channels, and slatted panels are flat. Shop Wall Paneling – Walston Architectural Products Today we’re just going to focus on reeded panels, which are becoming more and more popular in interior design.

Reeded panels can complement a variety of design styles, from traditional to modern. They can be used in various rooms and settings, including kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and offices, adding a touch of character and personality to the space. The texture of reeded panels creates interesting light and shadow patterns as well as depth and dimension, especially when illuminated from different angles.

Reeded panels can be applied to columns, walls, and even ceilings, which can add a sense of nature and organic beauty to a room. Reeds can also be integrated into architectural details such as railings, balusters, or decorative moldings. We recently added this bench with a reeded seat front and accent panel to our showroom.  A Flexible Wood Tambour Panel by Brown Wood, Inc. allowed for easy installation of the reeded panel on the front of the bench.

An exciting trend in kitchen and bath design is the use of reeded panels in cabinetry, whether covering the complete door or just the door panel insert.  Our

Whether you’re aiming for a traditional or contemporary style, reeded panels can enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the cabinets.
